Description
This chain is a scaled down version of the chains made by the Picts in the 5th century.
The original chains were made from massive 10 mm wire with length of over a metre. They were worn as symbols of power and standing.
From a technical point of view, they raise many questions – how did they hand draw the wire? How did they form and cut it with no machine tools?

This neck chain is 49 cms (17 inchs) in length, weighs 255 grams and formed from 3mm diameter wire.
Length can be adjusted to suit customer requirments
